Artist's Notes
As a tribute to women's reproductive right's, Ovaie pays homage to the multitude of life events and evolutions which impact, influence, and change women's biological health over the course of existence. In celebration of health, in honor of sickness, and in remembrance of those who've lost their lives - these are all the natural variances which women experience and are summarized throughout this series.
This limited series is expressed through a total of 22 unique pieces which channel ovaries in different forms of health, throughout different events such as the hallmarks of puberty, birth, and menopause as well as the myriad of challenges that women face, ranging from STDs, PCOs, infertility, abortions, miscarriages, as well as cancer throughout the duration of life.
These variances are reflected through changes of color, texture, patterning and movement.
