ARTISTS NOTES
It's Lonely Here explores the depths of existential loneliness as part of the human experience and how different forms of loneliness shape our relationships with ourselves and with others as we evolve from one stage of life to the next. This series also aims to examine how the id and the super-ego play a critical role in shaping the individualistic aspects of loneliness (i.e., your experience will be different from mine and so on). The culmination of the id and the influence the id has on our internal-self, instincts and impulses across the psychic apparatus.
The convergence of the id - the internal-self and super-ego as it relates to the experience of loneliness is not the only predication. While id provides a fundamental backbone for how we may experience loneliness - states of societal, behavioral, and other cultural norms will undoubtedly provide the framework for how our psychic patterning will intertwine with our physical environment and delineate which pathways we may be more inclined to take in our experiences.
